A Recap of Apple’s September Event

Apple just recently had its exciting fall event which announced some upcoming launches and updates. If you missed out on the event, don’t worry, you’ve come to the right place. In this post we shed light on the main takeaways with a short recap of the announcements.

iPhone 13

I think all of us get really excited when a new iPhone is in the works and in this event, they announced the awaited iPhone 13. It’s available in 4 versions: iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. All versions will have a smaller notch and a new camera layout. They will also have bigger battery and thus better battery time, as well as 28% brighter screen and an Apple A15 chip. All will also have ceramic shield front, which is said to be more durable than the previous smartphone glass. We also have 5 new color options!

The differences between the models can be concluded as following:

iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini

  1. A15 Bionic base don 5nm architecture
  2. Larger camera sensor with 47% more light
  3. Sensor Shift OIS
  4. Cinematic Mode, that uses machine learning for tricks like auto-shifting the camera’s focus when you move.
  5. 128/256/512 GB storage

Iphone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max

  1. ProMotion (10Hz-120Hz)
  2. A15 Bionic with 5-core GPU
  3. Ultrawide with macro capable of capturing small details at close range
  4. 3 cameras on the back and 7mm Telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The cameras are also compatible with night mode.
  5. Cinematic mode with post focus change for shooting videos
  6. ProRes Video coming soon
  7. Storage up to 1TB

Apple Watch series 7

The bezel is 40% thinner this time around, which allows for a 20% larger display than the previous model. The new watch will also and 70% boosted brightness indoors. The display is supposedly the most durable thus far due to IPX Dust/WR50 water-resistance. You can also enjoy USB-C Cable charging with 33% faster charging. The watch also comes in 5 more colors options.

Ipad

In the event, they announced both a new 9th gen iPad as well as a new look for the iPad mini. The new Ipad is 20% faster with Apple A13 processor. It also has a new Centre Stage front camera that is bumped up from 8 to 12 MP ultrawide lens. You can also enjoy Center Stage which is a feature that allows the camera to focus on your face and shift if you move.

The iPad mini will have the same look as the iPad air, which means no button, a larger 8.3 inch screen and slimmer borders and rounded edges. The CPU is 40% faster, while the GPU is 80% faster. It includes a USB-C port, and there will also be a 5G model available. The rear camera will be an improved 12MP with True Tone flash, and the front camera will also be a 12 MP ultrawide lense with Centre Stage feature. You can also enjoy new stereo speakers and full Apple Pencil 2 support.
