Roam like at home
EU roaming rules, so-called roam like at home, mean you can use the phone in another EU country without paying any extra roaming charges. This applies to both calls (to mobile phone or landline), sms and data services and regardless of which operator you as a customer have. Roam Like at Home (RLAH) thus enables our customers to browse their associated national data packages even abroad, up to 80% of their total surfing volume or 20GB per month.
Roam like at home in practice
You who have a fixed-price subscription from Dstny can use your pot with call minutes, sms and data included in the subscription when you travel within the EU/EES. For variable subscription forms, the national prices apply according to the respective price list.
Normal usage - FUP (Fair usage policy)
To prevent abuse there is a fair use, also called Fair Use Policy (MIP), which allows EU / EEA citizens to use their phones within the EU or EEA but under limited use to prevent abuse and extra costs for mobile operators. Therefore, you can use up to 80% of your total national surf volume with a limit of 20GB per month when you are within the intended zone.
Intended for travel
Roam like at home is intended for people who sometimes travel outside the country where they live or have stable connections, ie where they work or study. Roam like at home is not intended to be used for permanent roaming. As long as you spend more time at home than abroad, or if you use your mobile phone more at home than abroad, you can use the phone at domestic prices when traveling anywhere in the EU. This is considered a “fair use of roaming services”, also known as Fair Use Policy (MAGP).
Keep in mind - Roam like at home
- Dstny’s mobile broadband is not included in Roam like at home.
- Roam like at home does not apply to countries outside the EU/EEA. For stays longer than 4 months in any of the EU / EEA countries, Roam like at home does not apply.
- You can surf the data volume included in the subscription but up to a maximum of 20 GB.
- Should your surf run out, you can buy extra surf at the same price as in Sweden as long as the total amount does not exceed 20 GB.
- You do not need to activate anything for Roam Like at Home to apply to your subscription. It is automatically activated.
